Serious question, how does “O series”, whatever that is, make a used blade with damage worth more than the brand new one from the official retailer?

Hi, To answer your question, I would say it is the feel of the blade. Most brand new ones have different feel than old ones - I own several new ones. Blades are made from wood therefore no blade is identical when it comes to "feel". Thank you for your question.

I have Hurricane 8 Hard version. Some say it is better than H3.

Of course I did play with H3. H3 in older design packet H38 is the best for me. H8 has softer more elastic top sheet hence it is more forgiving to errors. H8 in H40 hardness feels like H39 or even H38 H3. Some say H8 is more tacky than H3. Maybe because it is harder so make tackier. However H3 is already tackiest for me. So I think H8 tack is at the same level.
Normally if you are not a professional you might find H8 to be an improved H3 version. Because H3 commercial can be difficult rubber to play if you are not a pro (unless softened with booster). But professional would never play H3 commercial anyway LOL
