I heard that a new TT club will be open next month in Mississauga (close to Toronto). Does any one know the address?

This club is run by a coach couple. The wife is Canadian Women s Team Coach. Their daughter is Canadian National Player, too.

I will probably come by once or twice a week to support them. Do you know how many tables they will have? It did not mention on their web page.

They have removed the exact date and replaced with "mid-april". I guess we d have to check back their website regularly www.elitettc.ca |

The new Canadian Elite Table Tennis Training Centre is now opened between 9:30 am to 10:00 pm each day. They have 11 ITTF approved competition grade tables and using Tinsue competition grade table tennis flooring. Every serious player should check out this excellent table tennis place. I did check it out. It s a very good club, friendly, good lightning, good quality table, and flooring as well. If you live in the GTA, you should check it out.

For those who are table-tennis fans in GTA (Greater Toronto Area), they will be having good opportunities to watch professional high-level trainings from May 8 to May 17 because we heard the Canadian Women National Team has a training camp over there before going to Moscow 2010 World Championships. (www.elitettc.ca)
We ll go to watch their first training session tonight! |

Yes, you can come and play as guest anytime. Only non-mark shoes are allowed though. |

Thanks! A couple of people have raved about it, saying it s the best place they ve been to. Another player said it was quite good, but the space isn t the greatest, though not cramped by any means. Someone else said that it s a good idea to go there with a partner or if you know for sure that several people are there. Because there s no guarantee of many players showing up on any given day.

Now, having been there, I can say the floor is excellent. It really helps the ball to bounce on the table more crisply and solidly. The floor also gives you better traction as you move around. The space is adequate, though for a defender who likes to go far back often( not myself!), insufficient. From side-to-side, the space is satisfactory. Lighting is good. Tables are fine. The number of players there on any given night is uncertain, though I personally did not have a problem finding people to play. Friday night, Saturday and Sunday are evidently the best times to come for the largest number and/or widest variety of players. Definitely a place to return to, and worth checking out for anyone who hasn t visited as yet!

Hi AVarun, did you find some good players (around 2000 Canadian rating) there on Saturdays/Sundays? How about waiting time if the many people show up?
