Hi all,

Have you also noticed that anatomic handles seem to be much less popular than flared/straight? I haven't found a single professional player using an anatomic handle, are there any at all?

Do you use or have you tried an anatomic handle? What pros and cons does it have?

Thanks

Kong LingHui who's now 1 of the head coaches?, of China is the only 1 who used/may still use Anatomic handle of either his KLH Sp or just KLH all wood.
I'm using my OSP V, V+ & Dr. Neubauer Hercule, all w/ Anatomic handle. To me, esp. OSP's AN. handle is the most comfortable. It just fits well in my palm. FL master of any Stiga, to me, is the worst. FL Legend & ST are, IMHO, ok..
Just because this or that or those so & so World Champions is/are using FL Master/Legend/Anatomic don't mean that I've to "copy" or follow them.

The best female player in the world, Chen Meng, uses AN handle.
I´ve used it for a while, it´s comfortable, ok, and it´s good for BH shots. However I struggled to make good FH topspins with it.
I like some BTY squared ST handles. Like those in Timo Boll series.

Yes, I've used anatomical some very long time ago. It's ok if you hold your grip quite tight. But if your grip is looser, you wiggle or smth, it's not that comfortable as simply flared. Flared is the middle ground between straight and anatomical

A couple of times I hadn't my gear with me, so I've used my friend's AH. I could've got used to it probably, but I'm not a fan. Flares all day for me.

I tried to use it a couple of times, but I can't say it's the best thing ever. So, I believe, that was a good experience, but anatomic handle is not for me!

Years ago, I never thought that it is called anatomic because it is shaped like a woman's body.

I use AN handles; in fact I hoarded Stiga Allround (NCT, Carbon, Classic) and also have Defensive NCT, Offensive, Infinity, in AN as they have been discontinued. I have small hands and use a tight grip.

I only used AN when the FL and ST handle of that blade are small.

For example:  Tibhar Samsonov Premium Contact (old version - orange color handle).   FL and ST are so small, but AN is very comfy.

Tibhar Lebesson, because the store only stocked AN handle.  When asked, the owner said that FL and ST are small so he opted to stock AN only.

I have Stiga Allround Evolution AN, it is very comfy.

But the problem with AN handle is that:  it can be very comfortable or it can be very bad.   I think ST is neutral, FL is rather neutral, but AN can only be comfortable when the contour matches your hand perfectly.   Otherwise you will feel awkward holding it.

Just my two cents.
Blade : Just wood
FH : black rubber
BH : red rubber
