Red one (if you view all 3 videos you will see) :)
Like to ask, what league do you play in? what is your rating in your country?

Date Posted: 04/18/2012 at 9:47am
that's regonalliga in Germany (3rd league) but it's semi professional :) I live and train in Poland and I am unranked cause i don't play tournaments but when I used to play, 3 years ago I was 25th in Poland. I wonder how I would be ranked if I played in USA? :)

Posted By: ghostzen
Date Posted: 04/18/2012 at 9:51am
I would say from your level of play you will do pretty well at any US comp. I'm sure I have seen you play somewhere else strangely I think in a UK training camp????  but can't be sure. Have you ever been over to the UK? I'm guessing a bit ....but i'm thinking you maybe play in Div 1 or 2 in poland so yes your ranking will be quite good! :)

I thought it was you yes in that case yes you will be ranked very high as I remember you played in the European Universities Table Tennis Championships and came third some years back when Kirill Skachkov won gold. Maybe 2008 ish maybe?

Oh man, you're Samsonov-lite! You should copy Vladi's serves for closer impression. Smile

I would estimate your rating is >2500.  Unfortunately for you, the highest rating I see in the state of Utah is <2200.  If you plan to participate in bigger tournaments in the U.S., expect to travel by plane to other states.

Anyways, I agree with rest of forumers, definitely top US level. Too bad I live far from Utah, I could use some coaching lessons from my countryman LOL. Have fun on your visit!

Closest towns for you to fly from Utah to compete regularly will be San Francisco and Los Angeles... Currently there are 21 active players in California with 2500+ rating, so you should have plenty of fun there.  Smile

hier you have also game which I lost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fxqR3SIvWE but this greek guy was very good, I lost against him three times 11:9 but during world championships in 2010 he beat Fedor Kuzmin from Russia :) (you can find this game on youtube). Thanks everybodyfor the answers I was wondering about the ranking because there is one player in US which played also in Germany and his ranking is around 2600 and his german ranking is lower than my one, the name of this player is Andreas Ball.

if you're in the US the next 4 months then don't miss the US Open. That's the venue to meet the best competition. if you turn out to be high 2700 you migt even win it.

Ball is slightly overrated. He lost to a 2450 player last wkend in collegiate nationals. Also lost to Jose Barbosa in regionals.

In Germany I am ranked on 193th position including all international players which ever played in Germany(all Japanese, Chinese, and other foreigners and Germans lie Boll and others). In World Ranking I am unranked cause I have never played pro tour but I think I could be around 400-500 positin, for example Barbolin who I beat 3:0 is No. 485... William Henzell is much better :)

You look good enough to at least give any good player a good game. Very nice games to watch...

I have seen a few Henzell videos and I got the chance to watch one of his matches in Sydney at the recent Olympic qualys... Its pretty impressive watching him in person, you see so much more detail to his game.

NO I haven't played against him, but he plays at the samedivision as me but he plays on position 5-6 whilst me on 1-2, and level between 1-2 and 3-4 is completly different and on 5-6 is weaker than on 3-4.

Ok very nice, I find it hard to see in videos how good you are. I saw how easy Paul Freitag destroyed some people with balls around the net etc, while they play pretty high in my country. Against a pretty promising youngster, he promised him to hit the first 2 winners around the net, and so he did, 1 with forehand and 1 with backhand. Pretty arrogant but well if you can do that :D

At least 2500, probably more like 2550.  If you come to Texas let me know, I can put you in touch with several good players around that level.

you should come to the Northern California Bay Area! There are a lot of players that are around your level (2500ish). I heard Peter Li is coming to train here this summer before he starts at college at UC Berkeley

Edit: by a lot, I mean relatively a lot, compared to other regions in the US

^ Good video of Milosz playing Alfred.

Im in SLC, and have played with Alfred. I would just like to add that Alfred has not had really good competition to play with in months, only being able to regularly play with >2200 players, and having his wife hit him multi-ball.

Yes, this picture is made in ICC. I lost in semifinal game against 2590 chinese player who won whole tournament. His serve was so illegal and after 2nd game I asked for main referee of tournament who took him some points when he served in this way...and sometimes didn't even he still served illegal. Finally I lost 4-0 but last 2 games 15-13 and in both games I had 3 or 4 game points. I feel that if referee were there from the begining I could beat him, especially that the game on deuce is differen when is 0-0 in games and different when is 0-2. Many people came to me after the match and said that i was right...anyway is not so bad cause during last month I was only coaching and I haven't been training at all :)

Alfred would never use that excuse. Back in Kansas he only had a 1900 training partner and he won the NCTTA.

Milosz is that good. Plus he lost in the same round as the highest rated player in the US. Not to mention it was Milosz draw that won the whole thing one round later.

Someone needs to post the ICC matches on youtube so we can see watch.

Agree about the video. But I don't understand how Zhou Xin lost to Anal. That's like 27?? Going against a 25?? Big difference.
