I'm hoping to be there to document some players.
This is GREAT for Canadian/North American Table Tennis

Hasn't this tournament been on the Junior Circuit for quite a while? Not sure it will really attract much more of a field when there are also stops closer to Asia and Europe. Nice signature :)

Yes it has been.
It adds an extra time period for players to manage their time around mostly and depending on the entrants, some players actually look forward to the competition or lack of *if you know what i mean*
It also helps relieve "some" financial burden for the North American players who can't travel frequently abroad to compete and gain points.
It also encourages foreign teams to visit and aid in promoting the event *hopefully* by their presences not so much for the players but more for spectators and the awareness of the sport to the general public.
Most importantly, mass media coverage should be "heighten" as the event becomes more "important" <not sure if that's the right adjective to use>
Those variables may or may not affect the event but they're there.
*thanks, it will change soon*
