Hello,

I am struggling to find a blade that is good (for me)!

My main pick for now is Korbel, Boll ALC and heard good things about Latika.

I am curently using the Nittaku Acoustic, its a good blade, but just dosnt seem to fit my style of play.
I am a 1800 player and has been playing for 5 years. My strengths are FH topspin and looping.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Go with ALC It will suit you well have seen many > 2300 players use it well.

PS: I love my acoustic more than my ALC but then I am not that high rated yet Wink

So is it still worth getting a ALC if i already own a Viscaria?

In my opinion you should use the viscaria and dont spend money for new ALC.Viscaria is more controlable in short game in my opinion.

Try the viscaria instead, indeed, but what do you mean when you say it's not suited to your game? The acoustic is pretty powerful, has reasonable speed and excellent touch and control, it's overall a very solid all-purpose attacking blade.

The Korbel and Latika are a five-ply medium stiff wood blades, the viscaria or ALC are 5+2 stiffer composite blades… they're not in the same category, what exactly are you looking for?

Latika is closer in feel to acoustic, but little more speedy.

I liked Latika more than TB ALC anyday. But didn;t play enough with korbel... can't comment.

TB ALC is the best blade of everything listed above, but if you have Viscaria, no, its not worth getting it. Will be hard to tell the difference if blindfolded.

I have a 2300ish friend who uses a Korbel and plays that level no problem. A Korbel isn't gunna stop you from elite amature level, even some Korean pros use it.
