I will be interested in the 5ply allwood blades. Wonder if their feel will be different from the usual Bty feel (more lively).

I'm more interested on the Garaydia series, but it sounds more like a remake of the Amultart(ZLC) and Primorac Carbon (T5000) though

Release date? How is he innerforce layer different to the innerforce series now? looks like some of those are just a rehash of other blades that had been discontinued.

Innerfiber seems to be like Innerforce but with Koto outer.

That is some serious wonga for 5-ply all-wood blades. The introduction of the new bewbs logo must have been expensive.

Still, the real questions are - will BTY lift shipping restrictions, and will the Japanese retail price rise?

I think the answer is the later. Price in Japan will rise! Because they want the price to be the same in all places.

Damnit. BTY blades are getting fuglier and more expensive, every time their marketing geniuses come out with a new line. I still like the old ones much better, like Boll Spirit and similar ones.

Looks like they're trying to be environmentally friendly or something, like those lame Joola Greenline blades -- buying a new TT blade is NOT the time to save the world, folks. LOL

Compare handles of Hadraw series with handles of Andro Wanokiwami blades.

Regarding prices, I was afraid Butterfly is going to reduce prices outside Japan to make them equal or close to the prices in domestic market. Now, when they increased the prices in domestic market, I have no reason to be afraid of.

That 2015 bty release sounds like a step backwards to me. I guess only the prices are improving as usual with them.

I really like the new designs.  http://gds.parkland.edu/gds/!lectures/history/1950/swiss.html" rel="nofollow - Clarity and order!

Notice they stuck the new MJ SZLC handle onto the now classic MJ ZLC. But I actually like the old handle design better.

The names of the series suck though.

The interesting one is the Pro-ZLF blade - I always thought that the LSW / IF-ZLF size should reduce to 157x150 and it should be thicker for added power. Now we have it, albeit priced sky-high...

At the end of the day things like ornamentation of the handle and the names of the blade won't matter to people who end up liking the way they play, and Btfly has an good amazing track record at producing composite blades that play well.

(I actually kind of like the more simple designs myself)

It's a lot more expensive than the LSW, and yet it's a very similar blade. It's difficult to get excited about that.

Outher hinoki layers in Garaydia seria is thniner than primo carbon and distance betwen carbon layers in Garaydia seria is bigger. Good luck fellows.Beer

I agree Baal. I could care less about how a blade looks but how it plays. Nobody else cares how "pretty" your blade is either. Same with it's name. :)

That blade matrix looks totally out of whack.  Primorac is so close to TB ALC et al.  And that Hadraw VK...Butterfly is making a new 5 ply blade that is a full category slower than the Primorac and yet more expensive?  What am I missing?

Maybe we are not ready to "read" butterfly matrix but anyway I was puzzled seeing the clasic primorac very close to korbel sk7. Who knows..

Actually my understanding is they're koto top. Butterfly seems to have retired their limba-ALC blades, if this is confirmed. Maybe they deemed it too mushy for poly balls.

No, looks like it's the same Limba outer veneer, maybe just a redesign with the new logo.

Yup it is the same, just a rebadge. Also the bad new is the price increase on their best seller : timo boll spirit. I already knew that TBS was an "issue" for butterfly because very cheap (compared to other viscaria-likle blades) and a best seller, so they can not remove such a best seller from the market so they have increased the price, again. For those who remember, when TB alc was released the price of TB alc was 99.90€, and TBS was 69.90€........not even a year after they increased the price of all TB series and TB alc (and Maze alc) by 30€ and here is again a price increase on the TBS making the entry ticket to the viscaria familly at 119.90€ now :(

When is the USA released date? I don't see BTY USA list Innerforce ZLC anymore? So they discontinue to produce/carry it.
Is Inner-fiber ZLC out in Japan yet?

For new blades that are now available in other countries, and soon to be available in North America, Butterfly NA is doing a horrible job of promoting/hyping these new blades. Confused They've hinted at them a few times in their email blasts but that's about it.

Check on their website. They keep changing the date of availability, but I'm guessing the new blades should be coming in with one of their re-stock shipments towards the end of May.

If I were them, I would be HYPING THESE BLADES UP!!! COMING SOON SOON SOON Soon soon!!!!!!!!!..... LOL

I can agree with that a bit, can be because they have so many blades now with pretty much the same names so it's hard to find one that is unique and like you wrote get that wow feeling. It's also hard to choose one since I don't have afford to try so many out.

I have learned through the decades that if you find a certain model of BTY blade that you love buy 3-4 of them! Sure as hell BTY will discontinue it's production. So many fantastic blades gone forever...stupid BTY.

I only played 1 session with Hadraw VR. I paired it with the max MX-P and HMP-beta(thick). Blade weight 92 g. Total weight 185-186 g. (MXP is too heavy)

Its structure is very similar to Stiga hardwood blades except the Wenge outer plies. It would be nice to directly compare it with the Stiga Emerald VPS.
Blade face seems great. Polished, smooth and easy to glue.
Handle is smaller than the Emerald. It is made by using simple wood that looks like a raw handmade blade. Emerald or Darker handles are more beautiful and more polish.
It is fast for 5-ply all wood blade. More solid and less vibration than the Emerald.
I cannot say much on its playing characteristic at this time. All i can say is I have a lot of fun playing with it.
Can't wait to play with it again next week.

Thants a lot

i don't like so much the new hardwood Stiga blades

but i liked so much the HHao II blade that should be similar, except for Koto instead of Wenge

I've got the SR and SK so far. I plan on getting the V series as well, if that tells you anything!

Very nice grips, wonderful appearance to the entire blade. Top notch butterfly quality.

Playing wise... the SR is pretty stiff and solid. Softer than a Mazunov. Close to the Tibhar Samsonov Black Edition. Similar to the Ebenholz 7 in feel, though a bit softer still. Not as stiff as a Timo Boll W7. Harder/stiffer than the Liu Shiwen by far. Better feel than an Axelo, and higher dwell time. I'll throw out a bunch of blades here in case anyone has used any of them to compare, rather than "it's hard".

The SK is basically the same, but with more control and a bit less speed. I prefer it over the SR for all-round play. The SK has a softer, 'noob-friendly' appeal. Maybe ALL+ in speed or so. More forgiving, with a strong jack of all trades vibe (leaning toward offensive play). While the SR seems more specialized for something like an Oh Sang Eun style of play, block oriented but still with enough feeling to loop when needed. If you like to loop more than drive/hit/block, then I don't think you'd enjoy the SR all that much -- unless you happen to prefer stiffer blades.

My SR weighed in at 96 grams, so it is a bit heavier than the SK. Backhand flips/flicks all work VERY nicely on either blade. The SK works better for chopping as it isn't quite as stiff. Still, neither is overly chop friendly in comparison to something like a Defplay senso. I've got about 18 blades in my arsenal, and the hadraws are easily in the top 3.

The handles are very smooth... perhaps too smooth for some! Once you get a bit of sweat going, they stick in nicely.

I imagine the V series is similar, though a bit slower/flexier given the 5 ply. I myself prefer the sturdy feeling resulting from 7 ply blades.

What he is talking about Angry no subs? Looks like the handle is thinner, but this interesting "thing" - some weight maybe like a balancer is interesting. Any way i'm waiting Freitas to introduce his blade.
