Hi, I'm typing this late at night but it's very similar to regular Airoc, it has that grainy topsheet and a little extra speed from it. I have Astro S on 190 and Rasant Grip on Emerald as RPB. Hard to do a direct comparison as they are on two totally different blades. 190 is stiff and Emerald is flex. Astro S feels a tiny bit softer by the touch, and the top sheet is shiny and grainy. Rasant Grip is matte and smooth in look. Yet they both pack about the same amount of grip, speed and spin. On the blade the Astro actually feels harder. It has more to do with the stiffer 190 I believe. I would say the throw of Astro is higher. | I tested the Airoc Astro M briefly, it's definitely very spinny and faster than the regular Airoc. I didn't felt much slower than the Xiom Omega IV Asia I had on the other side. Compared to tenergy it still feels dull though! |
