It looks interesting. Has anyone tried it? How does the topsheet grip compare with Andro Rasant Grip?

I'm very curious aswell but I'm afraid it's not more than a slightly faster version of the regular Airoc S.

I think that member has experience with this rubber (see his signature), I was also curious about it, so I asked him with private message how does this rubbers plays compared to the original Airoc M/S versions and he is still silent...

i have tried the factory sample but i need to wait for the commercial ones for the photos to get my reviews online. yes, these are much better compared to the first airocs because the new ones have better spin. the topsheet is calibra by the way

Hi, I'm typing this late at night but it's very similar to regular Airoc, it has that grainy topsheet and a little extra speed from it.

My coach described the topsheet as a "topsheet made by Lidl" (fellow Brits will choke on their tea)

Overall, not a huge improvement from the original Airoc, but performance with Astro M is great overall for me.

I'm more interested in Astro S than Astro M.

I have Astro S on 190 and Rasant Grip on Emerald as RPB. Hard to do a direct comparison as they are on two totally different blades. 190 is stiff and Emerald is flex. Astro S feels a tiny bit softer by the touch, and the top sheet is shiny and grainy. Rasant Grip is matte and smooth in look. Yet they both pack about the same amount of grip, speed and spin. On the blade the Astro actually feels harder. It has more to do with the stiffer 190 I believe. I would say the throw of Astro is higher. I like the medium throw RG more for RPB as it feels more natural to me.

Sorry, but I only believe I described the topsheet of the Astro series. What you have with the S version is a softer sponge. Go figure.

I tested the Airoc Astro M briefly, it's definitely very spinny and faster than the regular Airoc. I didn't felt much slower than the Xiom Omega IV Asia I had on the other side. Compared to tenergy it still feels dull though!
