From the same source: 'A' player serves to 'B' player. The ball hits the frame of net holder. Before the ball can touch anything on the other side 'B' hits it back. 'A' cannot reach the ball and complains faulty ball touch of 'B' player. Referee should opt for:

'C' is the correct answer: Referre must order new serve... ...if the ball touch the net or net-frame (if the serve met the requirement) OR the ball that touched the net os net-frame is held up by receiver (in doubles: any of the receiver's double) |

You are right if we ask: The net assembly belongs to the table or the net. |

You are absolutely right. But the test question was that A player serves, ball hit the net-frame (=net referring your quotation) then B player hit it back before it bounces or touches anything.

Tha ball has to touch the court before being hit so point for A player ! If the ball had touched the court after having hit the frame, would be a LET. In case the ball goes out, point for B player
But B player can't touch the ball before, otherwise point for A player ! |

If B hits the ball back before it bounces while over the table I believe it's a point for A.
If B hits the ball back before it bounces but while it's off the side/end of the table, it's a point for B. |

I'm of the opinion that a let should be called.

The rally shall be a let : 2.9.11: if in service the ball, in passing over or around the net assembly, touches it, provided the service is otherwise good or the ball is obstructed by the receiver or his partner |

this is interesting. I thought it was player A's point. So a let it is.

After the ball has touched the net, it can either hit the table, or not hit the table.
If hit: Then let. If not hit: Then Point to B. So B can only do worse if he hits the ball, since if he doesnt hit it, it might hit the table. So I guess its a let? Is there some rule that explicitly states that the ball must bounce on your side of the table before you hit it? The wording of the rule may mean that it is a point to A for this question. |

Perfect way of thinking Vassily. Same as mine. There is a rule you mentioned but it is for a good serve when the ball does not touch the net(assembly) If it is a net serve "provided the service is otherwise good or the ball is obstructed by the receiver or his partner...The rally shall be a let" I am sure (but the test does not say) 'B' hit the ball above the table. |
