It took me a really long time to find my current ZLC ST above 88 gr. The weights are getting ridiculous. TT-japan told m all new blades are coming below 85 gr. I don't know if this is a cost saving approach or demand is for light blades primarily, but quality heavy blades are hard to find.
And no, adding powertape to the head or some metal in the handle is not the same at all. For me at least. It's just that these extra 6-7 grams of material add some rigidity and consistency compared to a lighter blade of the same model.

It's because the rubbers are getting heavier.

I'm not sure about that. T05 has been heavy for a long time, and the trend towards lighter Btfly blades seems a lot more recent. Maybe they are responding to what they think is market demand. I don't like the trend, for whatever reason.

+10,000... Give the people tomatoes! Great, if that is what they want, but myself, if blade is too light and hollow feeling, me is NOT a happy camper. I added around 7-10 grams to the handle of my ALL+ blade and like it a LOT better, even after just 3 days hitting with it. Pace is not OFF, but it bumped up at least a full class with better feel. Go HEAVY!!!
