Are you sure it is in Holland? I am Dutch and numbers in Holland are +00-31 not 32. 0032 numbers are located in Belgium.
The robot looks quite interesting tho |

I've read through enough of the PDF manual to discover only a 3m warrenty. That ended my reading. They look awful expensive to fix |

It sure does and I wouldnt be surprised if that were true. My dad accidentally broke my robopong and he fixed it. He showed me how it worked and it was really simple. Any engineer could probably more a replica of robopong if they had the materials. |

I seems they're not interested in selling outside Europe... When I asked them if they could sell to Australia, they said we can ship to AUSTRIA Can't find any review on them either... |

I have zero interest in a robot with a 3m warrenty. What an absolute joke. If it is made well then offer a decent warrenty, otherwise why even sell it? Henry Ford once said "I'd give away my cars for free if I could guarentee everyone would buy their spare parts from me." He knew where the real money was. |

I'm pretty sure they have a 1 year warrantee. I agree 3m would be rediculous! It might look like a newgy, but it looks pretty impressive from the video. If it's as good as it sounds, I don't know why no-one's tried it yet, or has done some sort of review.

I am not sure, but I recall a similar looking product announced 2 years ago. I believe it was the stiga robot trainer. seems like the product never got into the market. It might be a good idea to ask stiga people why the product never shipped before you buy, just to be sure.

Yes I agree, but if you even get an answer from Stiga, I doubt it will be a straight answer. I would be very hesitant myself to buy a robot that I have seen no reviews on. |

Seems to me that since this robot appear to have only one spinning wheel, it can't do no-spin balls. This would be quite a drawback. Can anyone confirm this.

On the remote, there is a function to adjust spin independently of speed so it probably has two wheels. |

This from the about.com TT forum: "The smartpong had a video to go with it where you could clearly see it was only 1 wheel. Several folks have commented that it looks like a Newgy 2040 with a remote control capability added. " If this is true I can't see how they can do no-spin balls, or even have speed independent of spin? |

 Also this is no chance that this robot can play no-spin balls, because it has only 1 wheel. Comparing to the price of XuShaoFa, I wouldn't recommend Smartpong. If someone's interested in XuShaoFa, I sell a one for 500 euro + shipping. My robot wasn't used more than few hours. My mail:

It seems to offer independent speed & spin because it has a setting for both. My car has a button that says "fire missile" on the dash. I was searching the pdf manual for info on the speed/spin options and there just wasn't any. BTW, from the user PDF: We provides a full one year warranty on any manufacturing defects with our robots. During the first 90 days, we will cover the costs required to fix the problem. All products, after the warranty period, may be repaired with a reasonable service charge, provided that the product is repairable with the owner covering the initial shipping cost." Perhaps something got lost in the translation? |

I have been in contact with the manufacturer, and asked the question about whether it can do spin & speed independently. The answer was NO, it cannot, as it has only one throwing wheel. For the same reason they confirmed that the robot CANNOT do no-spin balls. This does make me wonder why there are seperate controls on the remote for spin and speed...???

How come this seller cancelled his auction, with a reason of 'item no longer available', and now he's selling the same item for a 'buy it now' price of AUD$2100??? He most likely cancelled the auction because he thought it would not go high enough... but this is the risk you take when you put it on auction... Unethical to cancel unless it's really no longer available... anyone agree? |
