I think we were talking talking about Chan Kazuhiro playing in the Japanese league before or something.. and looking at his game many of us thought this guy will be at the top. I wont be an idiot and say he will make it to the top because of a single win, but his play was very good!

Well he's doing well with the BH serve, 5:1 to the other side of table. I may have a suggestion for him: try the FH serve with a much lower toss, so that his head won't get in the way?

Chan Kazuhiro- another chinese playing for Japan.

You can tell he's chinese just by watching him play.

Han Yang (kan yo) Song Haiwei (Yoshida Kaii) and now Chan Kazuhiro. Chan played very well. I don't give that match alll away to ma long's injury. It would have been a good match if ma long were 100% because chan was consistent and is a good style to counter ma long's style of play. Definitely wouldnt be a 3-0 win though lol.

Finally, the Nigerians let their younger players get some international exposure. Nothing against Segun, Monday and Kazeem, but, its time for the new era to get ready to take over. My assessment from watching some of the videos is that the Nigerians have a lot of talent and very little coaching. What you see are guys who have figured out how to vary spin and placement at a very high level but lack basic footwork fundamentals and service variation.

the ref was most definitely right and baum himself conceded as much.  if you listen closely, baum blew up and yelled out something like, "you can see the moment of contact!  what am i s'posed to do, cut off my head!!!"

i've been saying for quite some time that he needs to get faulted, cuz that serve of his is clearly illegal.  that said, i do think he had a point about the ump not faulting him earlier.  i think it's best that the umps go after the players early in the match and don't wait till things get heated up.

and then he lied when he said he never has a problem and no one has said anything to him in the last 500 matches!!  that's just not true--i haven't been counting, but i believe i've seen him faulted at least 5 or 6 times this year (before this match), so he's gotten faulted fairly often, though not often enough, cuz he still hasn't changed anything.  maybe prez sharara needs to issue a "patrick baum alert" so the umps can go after him like they went after ma long on his backhand serve.

for starters though, a coupla those guys there need to go a diet and lose some weight and then strengthen their legs, so they can bend down a little lower.

it's hard to bend those legs and stay down when you're too top-heavy...
