Ive played a little with the high tecnology. Its kind of an all blade i think. The feeling is soft, very soft!!!!!! Control is extremely good, and there are some looping possibillities also. The feeling is also kind of "weird" im not used to so thick blades. Like i said, a typhical all blade. I tried it with tackiness drive rubber.

silvalis...how do you like the Kool? I looked at one when I was at the US Open last week. I liked the integrated grip that it had. superloop |

Yeah the RAG grips are great. Really comfortable.
It's a pretty quick blade, soft feel when smashing/looping. Feels best with mediumish rubbers. The texalium layer gives it good support so it doesn't feel "mushy" like the TSP 8.5 top speed balsa blade (~8.5-9mm balsa core w/ glassfibre). You do need to use softer rubbers to get good spin though - with mediumish rubbers you just lose (imo) too much spin. Tango works very well on it, however you need to learn touch for your short game. I also had an MC1 which is a little harder, a little thinner. That one was nice too, a little faster than the kool. Felt better with pips though. You really have to try a kool. There's nothing quite like the feeling of it when you loop. If you're a power looper it's great, but I'm a spin looper... Oh, and I dare say that the R*1 will end up being just a little bit too soft... haven't tried it though. |
