I hit this with my normal LP rubber (Curl P4) and this wasn't planned in any way. I just said.."Serve this again and I'll do a roller.." and I did  LOL

Ever seen anything like this before?

I cant see in the video, does it bounce once then go off the table and stays low? Is it a roll or just one straight line bounce, where it could be returned? Or was it 2+ bounces

Watched it on the monitor - ok, low one bouncer

Some times you can hit those types in games, where it's a flat skid with the ball coming nearly parallel to the table, and even though it hits... the opponent will say it didn't!?

The first shot was three bounces. At least that's what I heard and felt. It was definitely more than one. The second shot was a typical around the net... "nothing special" in comparison

Knowing that it's possible will make us try it under pressure...or not. I bet you will one day because your deep inner game will go "COME ON WE KNOW THIS, LET'S DO IT!"

Just like with inverted rubbers, there are different flavors of long pips.  i have a sponge under my pips, and they are pretty grippy and unforgiving and don't spit those disturbing balls at you.  Being grippy they create very spinny chops though, sort of what short pips choppers do (Yuto Muramatsu, Hou Yingchao, etc). Unfortunately a common perception is that ALL pips players use long pips only to hide their backhand weakness or lacking footwork.

Maybe I should add that to my signature.. a pips player with a backhand LOL

Not sure what you mean by "isn't spin".. perhaps you are asking whether the rubber was inverted? No this was hit with long pimples.
