I've gotta say that I was rooting for the Frank Caliendo/ Sean O'Neil doubles combo in the U-4200 doubles.  Made it to the semifinals... not bad!

Great.  It sure works. Thank you very much.

(Earlier, I wanted to watch it in another room. Then found out I was unable to. Went back to the original room to watch.)

The vibes of putting this in a Vegas nightclub and the way they are executing the pregame ceremony.....are slightly clashing

I think USATT has definitely taken some ideas from the Spin Clubs. I find it more entertaining.

Go to the USATT website and click on online entry, then results.  The key results will be the U1600's Smile

So, Crisan lost  to Jinxin Wang in that casino open final. But, in spite of all that, he played far, far below his good average even say like 2-3 years ago. I am thinking also that he is not used to having fans sit and shout right next to you, in a finals match.
Surprise, surprise... but Wang's recognition and exploitation of Crisan's weakness on the FH admittedly was brilliant.

Crisan had poor results in the German league this year and is certainly far from his peak.

Like last year, an ICC coach wins men's singles, and a Japanese attacker beats a Chinese chopper in women's singles.

As for the nightclub setting, I suppose it was unfamiliar to all finalists. The night seemed to be a success, except for the trophy presentation, which is always embarrassingly amateurish.

I went to sleep thinking okay Crisan got it...just like i figured Liu Ying should have it TongueOuchOuch

I like how they're trying new things but as Caesar sponsored the finals i would think they had a big say in venueSmile
It was really funny watching the wait staff off the sides doing the crouching walk to the tables LOL

I liked how Adam  made what could have been a major embarrassment during the women's trophy presentation to something fun and light-hearted...Adam is quick-witted and has a good on screen demeanour.

I did watch the final on my cell phone. I struggle to do that on YouTube.

I hope they rethink aspects of the venue but it was a good idea.

I watched the live stream of the Women's final which I thought was great.  Much better than a lot of ITTF tournaments held in Europe and Middle eastern countries where there's only some token applause.  I think the players appreciated the roaring cheers from the crowd.  Kudos to the event planners.

My record of guessing who would win, had been poor.
The guessing of who would win this WS Final just made that poor record even poorer.

Do you have the YouTube app? Streaming is very smooth on mobile through the app, but not so good if you're going directly from the browser.

The court looked constrained, if one of the choppers have made it there could have been complaints. Looked dark as well.

One of the choppers did reach the final, and she lost. I was wondering about court size too - does someone know the precise dimensions?

As for the back of the court being dark, Dan Seemiller said that was an "optical illusion" and that visibility for the players was excellent.
