sweet sticky rice, sugar banana's and water.

If we have a small break then we usually get anything close by like KFC, Subway.

Also a beer while waiting also calms down the nervesWink

Yeah, Carb load the night b4 n b4 game, buy a batch of bananas for in between games, assorted FRUITS like apples (fast carbs), healthy sandwiches, water and if you're not used to drinking a lot of gatorade/powerade, I wouldn't recommend drinking it in between matches cuz you might get cramps, drink only when you have a long break or after the tournament. Good old H20 or those new Propel drinks do it for me ;)

Have yet to play a tourny for TT. However, when I used to play basketbal competitvely, I'd carbo load the night before, and the morning of my tournies.

Also, during the game I didn't drink anything but water, and some fruits always helped my energy between games.

bananas, sandwich. I'll try the carbo loading, the day before the tourney. I usually only have energy for 2-3 matches.

In addition to usual bananas and Gatorade, an hour before the tourney I sometimes drink a tiny shot glass of red wine. It really helps to warm you up and loosen you a bit! and since it's such a small amount (about 1 oz) there are no "drunken" consequences.

I usually eat heavy (not over doing it) the night before, lots of carbs as mentioned above.

They day of the tournament I suggest a light breakfast (eggs and toast if you can, that's what I eat)

Then snack on fruit up until lunch.

Subway or other sandwiches are good ideas for lunch, with water or sports drink.

Then snack on more fruit, with water or sports drinks til dinner.

PASTA for dinner!

ps:  It's a fact that what you eat has a lot to do with your energy and how you feel.  I also STRONGLY reccomend you stay away from energy drinks, I drink Monster energy drinks every day actually, but never when I'm going to be playing table tennis. The crash from an energy drink will leave you severly drained just in normal day life, even worse during a competition.

Hope this helps  :)

Are you sure you want to eat fish sauce orientated food in a table tennis court?
