I am looking to purchase a robot to work on my consistency as well as exercise drills. I have a table at home, but never anyone to play unless I'm at the club.
I was wondering what experiences people have had with different types of robots. I'm looking at 3 different robots right now. Robo-Pong 2040 Amicus 1000 AMDT TW2700-08 I was just wondering what experiences anyone has had with these robots or if they could suggest any other brands that they've enjoyed. |

The Robo-Pong is the best value The Amicus is good and u also get
Videos about it on the Butterfly site in case u are looking for some
instrustions and the AMDT looks very versitile with the most amount of
settings.
I would go with the Amicus because u can upgrade it with the 3000 control panel im pretty sure if u want more settings, but the 100 already has a lot of settings to it. AMICUS 1000 is what i suggest if money is not a probelm. ANd if you really dont care about money 3000 will last you forever. |

I have a 1040 robo pong. As good and cheap as the robot is, I hate the fact that ball speed is always proportional to spin. You can't have a fast ball w/ little spin or vice-versa. My 2nd issue with the robot is that it's impossible to have the robot consistently throw balls to 2 separate locations. Sooner or later, the spots will start to migrate, so footwork drills get tricky. For the price it's hard to beat. I paid about $200 (used) for the 1040 and make your own recycling catch net for about $20.

Cool thank you everyone for your input.
I think I'm leaning more towards the Amicus 1000 Plus. I'm really looking for something that is programmable that will allow me to create drills and exercises. |

Hi guys,
In our club in Holland we have bought the Amicus 3000, about three years ago. I have to tell you that we are extremely happy with the robot as it can do really anything. I use it on a regular basis for training the children and I love the fact that its rather easy to use, you can give any type of spin to the ball and use can play a lot of variations in one exercise.
If you wanna have more info, just let me know.
