I'm looking for a good coach, not a celebrity coach but a good one and not associated with any club. Is there such a coach in the GTA?
I'm looking for someone who will remake my strokes.

Thanks.

I was coached by Jun Wang in Markham. He's the second one on this page:

But he only speaks Mandarin. I had a heck of a time since I don't speak Mandarin.

Both coaches Wang and Ge are excellent.  Coach Wang was also the head coach of the Chinese national team.

That's true, and I neglected to mention he was a great coach and my strokes and serves improved a lot from him.

That's the one i was looking at but i'm not sure if it's a setup (location) like the one at Lawrence where i was coached when that was first setup. Is it a school or a club? (I'll have to drop in and take a look)

I'll pm you pokerpete, if this choice doesn't pan out.

Thanks guys, there are a lot more open tournaments now compared to when i played in the early 80's Embarrassed so rather than be a club player, i'm more interested in open competition so i'm looking at taking training and entering open tournaments.

It's a school, at a unit in an industrial complex.

I was sad to hear that the Lawrence & Dufferin club closed permanently at the end of August.  The first time I ever went there was in the early 90s (when it was a lot bigger).

I got the information 2nd hand, and I only went there a few times per year, so I didn't know Mr Wang other than his face and the fact that he's a coach.  I hope he's still working somewhere.
