Yes, PongPong2010, when was this match? I have many Zhang s games, may be I didn t pay attention to this moment. I d like to watch it more thoroughly.

This happened in Oct during the Chinese national games.

In the final, Zhang YN beat Guo Yue 4-1 with relative ease, but in the semi-final match, Liu almost pulled off an upset.

At the time it was 3 games to 2 with Liu leading.    Liu trailed 7-9 but fought back to tie at 9-9 when Liu served.      Zhang s return was apparent outside and then controversy errupted.       Zhang seemed to suggest it was an edge ball, the referee then awarded the point to Zhang.      Liu disagreed.    Zhang s coach got involved too.    Eventually the competition judge maintained the decision.     Zhang went on to win the game and the next thus beating Liu 4-3.

Zhang later remarked that she thought the serve might be a net ball, she hesitated a bit and thought her return also might have caught the net and the edge.

Her coach Zhou afterward said something like "I m sorry" to Liu s coach, but it wasn t clear if that meant the call was wrong.

It was obviously a critical point in the match.  Liu being less experienced might have been more affected by it than necessary.        Who knows how it would have turned out otherwise.

I ll try to find one, but after the protest and uproar from large amount of Ping Pong fans, the Chinese government had again used it s machine of media-censorship to delete/block all online clips of that match.

Remember, Zhang herself is a  top communist party member called "Zheng Xie Wei Yuan" which is equivalent to our congresswoman. (I don t know how, for someone not even well-cultivated/educated, to become congressman. Don t ask me about China.) Her husband has a broad connection with authority since he manages Chinese government s assets through openly known kickback investments...

Anyway, if she dares to return to Pong without a formal apology, I am fixing to round up all the anti-cheating fellas to BOO her in Moscow and London.

Watch me!

I ll check my archive, may be I have this game. May be you are too hard on her.
During sport s games players often make mistakes.

omg, get over yourself. No one gives a crap if you think she cheated, I ve seen blatant cheating in all degrees in every tournament I ve been to. Someone who thinks that the ball hit the edge could be honestly mistaken. Regardless if she was wrong in thinking that she got an edge shot in one game, she s still head and shoulders the best women player in the world. To say that you ll round up people all over the world to boo her at competitions if she comes out of semi-retirement is just rude and childish. Also don t attack her marriage or husband, that s just rude and wrong. You can t assume to know how two people feel about each other and should stay out of that in your hate rants.

People don t go around booing Maze or Suss with all the crap they do, or boo players who hide their serves still or boo people they think still tune their rubbers, why should we boo someone who thought they got an edge point and may not have? Get over yourself...

Career Ethic usually means nothing to you people, commie rat!
You have NO idea how much I know about her...

Keep your political bigotry the hell out of this forum. Don t go around calling people from one country rats because you think you know by their nationality what they believe about politics. I m from America but I m a socialist, you can t assume anything.

Kid, if your last posting was deleted by so called "censorship", then, only then, you ll know why I have a million of reasons to call them "commie Rats".
No one CARES if you grew up in a California communion, nor do 99% of Americans solute your Socialism. I was born in China, go to school in liberal San Francisco, Berkeley and now still hold an office in Berkeley...

There you go again, assuming things and slinging bigotry and ignorance. You don t know what I believe or think as a Socialist, you don t even know what a Socialist is. I m a Democratic Socialist, but you don t care do you? You don t know where I grew up, though I m not sure by your grammar who you are trying to talk about with the last paragraph exactly...you also don t know how old I am, so don t go around trying to disrespect me by calling me a "kid". You have no right to talk down to me, or other people, which is all you re doing here. Just because you have the "freedom" to spew ignorance, arrogance, and bigotry, doesn t mean its right to or that you should.

Since when are such matches called by the players?  That s what the umpires are there to do.

THAT is the most retarded thing said yet on this thread. You truly are stupid if you believe that. Go look up socialist in a dictionary and look at his public policy. Workers rights and socialist organization are currently infuriated at his policies and changes in stances on his economic issues, as they are most assuredly, NOT socialist.

Socialist-" a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole."

It s not taxing people and giving some of it to social help programs or supporting a larger government or whatever crap the idiots on Fox say.

You know I was once a marin county hot-tubber. And I am everything but a bigot! So keep that word to you dear president Obama, kid.

Yet, I hate some "communist rats" who kept deleting my postings in all Chinese Pong forums, because I questioned the evil of State-Sponsored sports school system in China. Big deal...

If I @#$%king walk the haight-ashbury every hippy there would give me a 5; if I hang out in Berkeley downtown on Sunday I d chat hours with Tibetan students, so Jonan kid (not only I know you re a kid, but also I ASSUME you re NOT a straight-A kid like we were) don t talk like you re the China-friendly "who-know-all". So far what you ve got, is the American birth right and a native English, but that ain t enough to take you far...;)

OK, back to the Topic on Zhang Yining s sportsmanship. She s gone! She ain t come back without a formal apology to fans! Or you ll see seas of banner reading "cheater", "material girl", "liar" during Moscow games!

We ll see!

1. I m not a kid, I ve been married for 3 years and I ve already graduated college.
2. I never said I was "China-friendly". No real democrat or socialist would be.
3. China is a fascist country, not communist.

Fascism- "a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible  suppression of opposition"

Communism-"a theory advocating elimination of private property, a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed"

Tell me, which of those sounds like "communist" China? Are all things publicly owned and handed out for everyone s good? Or is everything controlled by a few people for the good of a few with severe infringement on social rights and freedoms?

So get your terminology right, call them "Fascist rats" if you re going to generalize and profile people based upon their nationality or race if you insist on being a bigot against people.

I develop my opinions and beliefs based upon my personal convictions and books written by educated and informed individuals, not blogs or BS news reports that don t bother citing or proving any of their slanted opinions they throw out as facts.
