Subtitles are in Chinese, but this contains quite a few good tips including the concept of lifting the ball up then pressing it down with the stroke.

Other key points: One has to catch the ball at an early timing (otherwise the ball will be too deep), use absolutely 0 arm backswing (there's simply no time to do that) and focus more on the speed of the return rather than the spin.

Notice how deep and fast these underspin serves are.

Thanks. There is so much knowledge from these Chinese channels, unfortunately, I don’t understand what they say. Some videos have subtitles but it’s a very small portion. I like tutorials of these Chinese coaches because they know modern techniques and are extremely detail-oriented, they give you a lot of small tips which makes difference, while many other Youtube coaches are too generic with their instructions or just teach old-fashioned technique.

Yep I've been spoiled really good by them :) it seems that quite a few very high level CNT players are going into the business of streaming, online coaching after retirement. Highest level would be Fang Bo for sure, next is Sun Hao Hong (Lin Yun Ju's coach) and then Yin Hang. Surprisingly they're sharing quite a lot of stuff that almost seems like trade secrets - but maybe nothing is a secret these days....
