azinoth you need to be REALLY careful before accusing somebody.
building a reputation takes a lot of time. destroying it, just a single thread in a forum.
recently I ordered a blade from a site in phillipines. it took 7weeks to arrive here. they really took their time to answer my mails and didn't give me much information. did I start a thread complaining and talking trash? no, I was just patient.
once you know you've been fooled, yes, make it as public as you can.
before, just give the other the benefit of the doubt.

I'm pretty sure Registered Air Mail is very possible. Registered Air Mail includes a worldwide tracking that shows up on practically the entire globe. And shipping from China to the Europe/USA takes usually 10-14 business days.

I've been shipping from China, and I've had experience shipping from (Taiwan, China, HongKong, USA) and they've all had the registered mail option. Average price for shipping something via Registered Air Mail is around $6-7 for a package under 100g, and then $2 per additional 100g.

I blade with proper packaging should weigh at most 500g, which would cost less than $15 to ship. OC villager sent his blade via priority mail which should cost is the ball park for around $20-30.

I'm pretty sure Australia has registered air mail. Can anyone confirm this?

Btw, China is not cheap in terms of shipping price.

Not sure about registered air mail but I make my living via the mail and I've sent 1000's of parcels with Australia post and only ever lost _one_. As far as postal services go it's right up there with the best in the world

Hopefully both parties here has tracking for their packages. tracking information is essential for any successful transaction.

I bought a blade from someone on this forum, got a blade in 3 days. Shipped from UK to US (NYC).  Go figure.

Sometimes its not the transaction gone bad.  Its how its handled (as in customer service).  Bad communication can result in a bad reputation even if the transaction is good.  Good communication and concern from the seller can turn an otherwise bad transaction into a positive experience.  Just depends on a few choice words, a reasonable solution and timely communication.  Sometimes "consensus" is not agreement, its just something everyone can live with.

I think too often people do not put themselves in the others position to see how they are perceived.

I understand your situation. I'm currently in China and there's a 16 hour time difference between China and California, USA. But even if I am awake at a different time, I still answer my emails/MSN messages (knowing that they'll receive the offline messages when they come online).

It seems that azinoth is trying to say that a friend, who seems to be a 3rd party here, is able to see you online and at the same time, he cannot see you online. If you ghosted online, no one would see you online. But if you blocked someone, only that person will not see you online.

Lachlantan, unlike you, I actually care about this community. I too have been cheated by people like you. But I've also seen what miscommunication can to to two innocent people. Funny how it seems that all you really care about is "competition" and "profit". You try to sell a product that you don't know about. You sell products that don't exist. And now you've tried to get away from a transaction with a loyal mytt like jt99sf. Anything else you want to add to your rap sheet?

Also I wonder why you've changed your answer to jt99sf to "Do I know you?" from the original message "I asked if you want tracking and insurance for the parcel which would cost a more and you did not want to pay up for it. If you remember the price you bought the blade for it is impossible to discount any further."

"I too have been cheated by people like you" I along with several other forum members have already figured you out before you had the chance to take us for a ride. Proof is already posted on the forum and the mods are taking care of it.

Guys, why not take your fight offline.  Or better yet, meet in a neutral location and wail away at each other with 44mm balls.

But IMO you should take this to the moderators and let them lock this thread.
