I had a couple of years of dealings with KTL The stranger and stranger attack I stocked, was tacky and can stick the ball. I took a freshly landed as a sample and I think I took photos and videos back then. It didn't sell well, over time (I think around 5 years later), the rubber actually stuck onto the paper cover, some part looked melted on (no more pip structure) and was completely useless. I opened the rest of the stock and they all had the same issue, so I threw them away. I didn't inform KTL since I stopped dealing with them at that time. The rubbers were cheap, and I didn't had that many, so wasn't a big loss. |

So another reason why I'm after tacky/spinny pips in particular is to allow my index finger resting on them to have some grip - I've tried non-spinny pips before and they give me unstable grip as my index finger keeps slipping and I end up squeezing the bat the wrong way rather than holding it between my thumb and my index finger.
So looking for something tacky/spinny especially in response to actual touch.

People usually want the non-tacky pips for deception. Tacky ones are used for producing spin while chopping. To generate spin on serves, you’ll be better off with the spinny inverted rubber

For serving consider learning to twiddle. Twiddling after Bh serve is a lot easier than doing twiddling during a point.
Still useful to throw in a few LP serves just to mess with the opponents mind. Mark

Hi all,
Do you know any tacky long/medium pips? I'm looking for some deception on the BH but also to maintain the spin producing capabilities especially when serving etc. Thank you
