Some are curious to see the style of the players who play close to the table and use OX LP on BH. Most of these players who use this, are older females using Shakehand bats. The men who use OX LP, use it on the BH side of their C-Pen or J-Pen and use it for serve return or occasional disruption to get a better FH ball to attack. Most of the OX LP players are agressive offensive players who look to attack FH often. Some are material players who use the OX LP BH over and over to try to get an error to win the point. We only have a couple of men in our club who use OX LP and they were not at the club at the time I took these few clips. I played against a few in a tourney in Seoul and these players are very aggressive attacking, using the LP to get a ball to their FH that is not a strong attack, then try to kill it with their FH. The women, mostly Shakehand players, are either of the same mold (usually the higher level ones) or are defensive players who use the LP close to the table. These players rarely, if ever chop. The choppers who use LP, use a sponged LP and play either a classic defense game, or a modern defense game like Joo, S.H. and like to play away from the table.

Here are a short few clips of some LP players in out club who use OX LP (mostly DTecs) on BH. These players, mostly older females, like to use pushblocking/punchblocking/flicking with their OX LP on BH to disrupt timing and get errors. The higher level ones, like the one training behind the net, seek to destroy the first ball that comes to their FH with an inverted FH kill. The lower level ones, (U1700 USATT) try to keep hitting as many balls with their LP and keep it in play/get errors form opponents and only use a FH when a real easy ball comes to the FH. These players will do anything with their OX LP to get you off balance and a lot of them train specific strokes with the coaches at our club.
