I'll second that - I just took off my 2-month old worn out Plasmas (470 and 430) and replaced them with Bryce FX PowerSponge. The difference is huge. I got very little sound out of the Plasmas on my Iolite (due partially to the arylate layers), but the Bryce FX sound is *loud*, and the spin and speed are better than what my "speed glue solvent" that I had been using before (d-limonene) was giving me, and much better than the Plasmas. Of course, if I had bothered using "real" speed glue, then I'm sure the PowerSponge would have been only 70% of that, as Schlager noted. I'm thinking now that Bryce (FX) PowerSponge may not be bad value after all, if they can last me 3 months. If the topsheet is still good after then, and the glue effect has worn off, then I can still use my limonene to get a couple more months (hopefully) out of them. That would make them cheaper to own than any other glue effect rubber out there. |

I recently bought a sheet of BRYCE FX/Powersponge from a tt shop in Berlin. The owner said the use of the ALUBAG is not really necessary. Anyone has any comments?
