Well your backhand is very circular, I'm sure this is fine I just haven't seen it before. I would think that you should be careful not to get you right foot too far behind your left on backhand because you won't be able to get your feet around fast enough for a forehand.

hmm

the idea is correct

the technique is not.

WAY TO MUCH ARM for that back hand loop. It WILL cause shoulder issues in the long run as the circular motion indicates heavy use of the shoulder mudcle  to "slow" the arm down.

I think there is a video of samsonov showing the back hand loop. That of course is no frills short compact world stroke that none of us here will have. What you need to focus on is his shoulders though, that is how they actually produce the speed/spin component of the back hand loop. Torquing the body.

on those underspin shots, i would SLOW that robot feed rate down by about 70%. that fast a rate is what is causing issues. Do it slower and see how the technique holds up.

you are very stiff, maybe you need to slow down the robot and concentrate on technique.

Exactly why I chose Samsonov as the look at video.

I myself am 6'0. ;) Hieght has nothing to do with body inclusion in ones technique.

I'm interested too.

You guys read both the ball really well, but the forehand loops... Slow and weak.
Since you are both older than 24, it's too hard to change your habits to a well technique. Keep playing and have fun, that's important.

Give my best regards to Ken - I haven't seen both of you guys at the tourneys in NE for quiet a while. Are you coming for Waltham tournament this Saturday by any chance?

No my friend. I am not coming or Ken, as we have our little Vermont tournament on Saturday. There will be my other friend Justin. He is like 1200 player, nice kid. I hope will do good in Baltimore. You are not going again :( ...
I hope I see you in February for NH Tournament. How was your RITTA Tour ?

Too bad I won't see you. RITTA was a mixed bag. I didn't do too well in Open - as always, I play rather poorly before 5 pm, so I didn't advance from the group. But I won U2000 (not a lot of players in that event, though).
