It wasn't always a sponge bob... was it?
I think you had another avatar when I 1st joined.

Good stuff. I am impressed with your play. I played a fairly high ranking player once and he did the same thing as you mentioned above: controlled, relaxed play -- with amazing spin variation and measured loops. It is so amazing to play with a good player... it must have been something altogether different to be able to play with a player of this caliber... lucky guy.

I generally hate my videos but here I decided to publish this one, since it's just fun. Our coach brought in his friend from many years ago (I think they played together in India when they were juniors) - Kamal Sharath Achanta, WR #72. He had some demo practice and short matches with a lot of us - I would guess more than a dozen people played him.

He is very nice, quiet guy - he played great tennis with a completely new (to him) setup provided to him by Killerspin, his new sponsor.

So anyway, we had fun. I edited the video to get rid of some embarassing (to me) moments, so as you can see I win all the time!! Wink Makes me wonder why I am not in the top ten yet...

JimT vs Kamal Achanta

I like your Style JimT. Excellant play. For some strange reason I though you were a lot younger (in your 20's).Shocked

Oh that's what all my girlfriends keep telling me, Rob Wink

I wish I were in my 20s - then I would be really ripping it up. I was 30 pounds lighter then and didn't have any knee or back problems. Not to mention, a lot more time for practices and tournaments...

wish you had your speed 90 and just some longer video episode.i think speed 90 is meant for you just fine, though i don't know how the other blade feels in comparison with speed 90.

I am basically playing either with DS 90 or with Nexy Color - my other main blade WRC-10 has a slightly more aggressive balance (into the head) and it is not always good for me. I also tried Nittaku Violin a few days ago and it plays great but I cannot come to grips (Tongue) with its tiny short handle.

I will try and ask someone to film me playing with DS 90 - then I will of course edit it to make me look like a table tennis giant that I am Wink... then I will post it as well.

Thanks for the kind words.

JimT, I know you said you were satisfied with your current blades..I just want to say that I didn't initially like either Fl or regular straight handle on Nittaku Violin, but
I found a solution-grip tape-soft,made out of leather like material. So in the future,if temptation will again dominate,a heavy weight Violin and a piece of tape could do some good things for you.I think you don't need anything else anymore, though.
Oh,these rubbers are Gambler wraigh?

Yes, on the backhand of almost all of my combos I use Wraith.

Lucky you... I might have the chance to play with WR335 (NED 3rd) Merijn De Bruin... he said he's on holiday in Bali and might come to my city. i offered to setup playing with several national players here and also unorthodox players in the area...

If i had the money and spare time i would go to Bali and go after him...
