Hi,

Is there an ITTF page for the draws so we can follow what is happening?

Thanks.

What a great way to represent the draws! we can drag the picture up and down, left and right to get details and click on a match. Thank you for sharing.

Wang Chuqin 王楚钦 is possibly the current best men's singles player but restricted by unfair Olympic and individual team closed selective non sporting competition rules and his recent bad behaviour. It is a shame that Olympic medals needs to be limited to ensure some of the lesser athletes get a podium medal while some exceptional world best are excluded the opportunity as would be expected in a fair and open true competitive sports event where the very best deserve to all reach the semifinals even if coincidentally representing one particular national organisation.

Apart from that the delayed Olympics is surreal without fans and also subject to drop outs from those contracting Covid while there.

Can't make that claim since he's never won any of the other majors....

Former Olympic Champion aged 18 although not the Summer Olympics but some of the competition was of comparable sporting challenge. Looking at the endless list of also ran no chance of winning “Olympians” in the early rounds at Tokyo literally playing at the table for minutes before being dispatched is more sporting goodwill spirit than real competition. Wang Chuqin can and will beat most opponents irrespective of national association so including teammates let alone the rest of the world players.

No shame in that.  Just getting to the 2nd round with a win over 77th ranked Alberto Mino is a great tournament for the 18 yr old.

Kallberg has wins against almost everyone in Europe and is one of the top European hopes, no shame in losing to him....

good Olympia-start for Timo:
7:11 / 11:6 / 11:7 / 11:2 / 11:1 against Gerassimenko.
32 minutes in total. Set 4 and 5 were a real demonstration.

The above webpages starts off by saying

USA’s Lily Zhang received a brief scare as she failed to adjust to Nigeria’s Offiong Edem’s tricky serves and deceptively slow pace

What does this mean ? Was Edem using some sort of pips or anti to slow the pace down ?
What is her equipment ?

Thanks

No she has regular rubber but all her shots are just really slow. I do not know what her equipment is.
