A couple years ago I bought a few Butterfly Lindmae Special with the same idea, stiffer/faster but it has limba outer plies. The blade I made with SDC was going onto the same route, faster/stiffer but with a low balance that is controlled at construction time and soft, thick hinoki outer plies.
I still think the Garaydia ZLC is the best bet for those who want to emulate Timo's approach without his top physical capabilities, the softness and speed of that blade are a real treat and it can be found between 85 and 88 grams.

it seems to me like timo's short game actually improved with the pc.
his blocking also improved. he lost in far from the table counterlooping.
