Chinese Table Tennis is really really strong? Many TT lover would agree that. Let's check it from their youth system and status. |

While very strong in TT, the video demonstrates great weakness in English grammar, vocabulary, and diction. However, I appreciate the effort to express their views in English. My favorite - "Coaches are very strick and hard training"

Their English language skills are enormously greater than my Mandarin Chinese language skills. They have made great advancements compared to the typical American's development of their Mandarin Chinese language skills.

Heavyspin, the English in the video was added by the OP. English isn't his first language. He speaks Korean and Mandarin, too. So I think it's fine for him to make some mistakes.
I liked the video. I actually saw it on my youtube feed and watched it 2 hours after it was uploaded :)

Yes, I may have been too harsh. That's why I wrote that I appreciate their effort to offer in English.
As far as why Chinese TT is so strong, a country like China where being a table tennis pro enhances your social status has a distinct advantage over a country like USA where being a TT player lowers your social status. Edited by heavyspin - 03/17/2019 at 1:26pm |
