Serbian legend and doubles expert Aleksandar Karakaševič played previous two seasons in 3rd and 4th German divisions, but prior to 2020/21 season was selected by the Bundesliga club Grenzau. Despite his age and clearly not the top physical shape, he still proved to be a solid player in the German top league.

It definitely made the season more interesting watching King Kara play and even win a few good matches. It's amazing how much he can do with good serves, amazing receives, tactical expertise and a backhand stolen from the gods.

He said in an interview that when he played in the third division it was tiring because everyone wanted to beat Karakasevic whilst playing in the top division again the pressure shifted away from him as no-one wanted to lose to Karakasevic.
