Hi guys,
I generally hate my videos but here I decided to publish this one, since it's just fun. Our coach brought in his friend from many years ago (I think they played together in India when they were juniors) - Kamal Sharath Achanta, WR #72. He had some demo practice and short matches with a lot of us - I would guess more than a dozen people played him. He is very nice, quiet guy - he played great tennis with a completely new (to him) setup provided to him by Killerspin, his new sponsor. So anyway, we had fun. I edited the video to get rid of some embarassing (to me) moments, so as you can see I win all the time!! Makes me wonder why I am not in the top ten yet... JimT vs Kamal Achanta Great New Year present to our club members. I have some more very short clips where he plays Grant Li and some other players, but they are not as good as mine, of course |

You may notice that everybody is playing rather loose, no pressure, so don't judge me too harshly. Not to mention my bad left knee prevented me from winning - otherwise I would prevail, no doubt!
Also - I am using Nexy Color with LKT Rapid Speed 2.2 FH and Gambler Wraith 2.2 BH. |

JimT are you a flat hitter? How do you like the Wraith for flat hitting and punch blocking, is it a lot more sensitive to spin than outlaw?

I like flat hitting once in a while but generally I am a combo-style player, I spin a little and I block a little and I flat-hit some and I even chop once in a while. I like Wraith for all of that to tell you the truth. It is imho a bit less sensitive to incoming spin than Outlaw which shouldn't be the case as Outlaw is harder and non-tacky. |

You need to video your matches against Ovtcharov or Mizutani, with some editing job, you'll be in the top ten before long..

It fluctuates... I don't play a lot of tourneys and the ones I play it's hard to change my rating since there is not a lot of people in New England with ratings above 1900-2000. Formally it is around 1900 but I (of course! ) believe it should be higher... like 2037 or smth... especially when I fix my bum knee and lose another 10 pounds of fat. |

I don't think your knee was the problem. It's the dark socks with white athletic shoes Great vid, buddy.

It was mostly unforced errors on my part, so actually that part is way more boring. Kamal didn't force anything. He knows how to play guys of my level in demo matches - the main idea for everyone is just to have fun and try not to overdo things. |

Thanks! I really like it. I used cotton T-shirts first, then Dawei shirts from ColesTT, and I now I like this one from GuoQiu the best. I sweat a lot and this T-shirt is really good for me. |

Great video + editing, Jim. You were murdering him.
That Wraith seems to be working very well for you. Glad to finally see the face behind the Spongebob icon. |
