Does someone have contact to the Chinese national team?
I'm still wondering what fan zhendong uses.Does he still use viscaria with stiga handles or does he use the infinity vps v ?(not the normal infinity of course but with a way better quality)

According to this interview, Fan uses pure wood. Not sure
google translate will do a translation. He answered that
he uses pure wood, and everyone suggests him to use pure wood,
including coach wu, and wang hao.

I am curious why people often have such an idea that
a player uses Butterfly blade with stiga handle when they
can freely pick whatever they like and sign a contract with company
they like. Is stiga handle better than Butterfly's? who will
do that work of switching handle for them?

there is a picture in the forum here on which you see the Viscaria + Infinity handles. But even if this picture would not exist, I highly doubt he is playing an Infinity. For him as a shakehand player with that much power the Viscaria should work simply better, he has more power and precision in every shot.
Considering he plays as much aggressive as you can play this sport there is no con about a carbon blade imo. All wood blades are better for spinning the balls and more topspin "curve" but if you always hit the ball perfectly right, a carbon should work better for most of the players.

you can easily find all kinds of photos if you want.

sorry, not sure how to upload photo, i just download
a DHS handle with viscaria, "Hurricane Long". can email
if someone wants.

the point is that the competition is tough and Fan
may not dare to make false statement in public
for the interview and published in the magazine unless
Fan has no "enemy".

From Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_Zhendong

"Fan is a Joola sponsored athlete. He uses a paddle from Walmart which he found on the clearance section."

Funny.

Anyway even if he is still using Viscaria, it would be special order from Butterfly, which is different from the ones you can purchase from the market.

I don't know what blade FZD is using, but its common knowledge that some pros don't use blades manufactured by their sponsors, and they will sometimes even change the handle as a compromise.

Its probably not a big deal. A player's success is the most important thing, and both sponsors and players already know this.

In Tokyo, one of my mates got FZD's rubbers after the Semi final matches.
He clearly saw viscaria with stiga handle.
Believe, don't believe, up to you.

Also, the thing about sponsorship is not only about equipment - equipment is likely the cheapest part of the pro's sponsorship.
Technically speaking, I don't think FZD (in national colours) uses anything Stiga on him. Not even his carry bag, bat wallet, towel etc

But then again, why is this so important to you?
Does it even matter? As the pros equipment is different to commercial ones - so it's not like you can end up buying something slimilar to the pros

One funny part I don't understand is why non of FZD blades has the "words" printed below the area of the rubbers.
Surely to print that on "any blade" can help Stiga in terms of marketing (above the handle insert)
