I saw a lot of good players using Clippers in my trips to China, but I last time I was there I only played at one place and before that it had been awhile.  I am wondering if composite blades may be gaining there.

True for experienced players but I was surprised at the Liaoning provincial center to see that nearly all the kids (already very strong for 8 or 9 years old children) use BTY ALC or ZLC blades.
TB ALC is probably the most used blades there.
The coach explained that it is also much more easy to get specific blades from BTY for each player, regarding the weight, than it is from other brands.
The coaches use most Yinhe blades :))

Butterfly Arylate-Carbon blades are the most popular in the world
1. Boll Spirit
2. ALC
3. Viscaria

sorry, i can't agree with you. there aren't more professionals use the Clipper blade in china. otherwise i see more and more professionals change blade to mixed blade, like VIS, ZJK ALC or 狂飙龙5 that is made by DHS.
the following table show that top professionals have been changing their blade to mixed blade:
ZJK ALC 90g: T80 + T05FX
Boll ALC 89g: AIROC M + Calibra LT Spin

Hi stevenjlyang,

What do you mean by mixed blades? Actually you mean COMPOSITE, carbon blades?

By the way, thanks for charts

I had one 25 years ago, but as I was young and foolish I ruined it by covering it in a thick layer of varnish. I eventually pulled a layer of wood off trying to remove it. My son switched to a new one about a month ago and really likes the extra power and looping ability. Not sure how the 2 blades compare though as I wasn't really good enough to know what I was playing with back then.

Basically because it's a great blade with good feel and control that suits many play styles. I can not see any other reason, the pros does not choose a blade for its design Tongue

Hi steven, thanks for posting the chart created by me. Actually I have an exactly same topic here, with English version of chart.
