It is just preglued. Boosting it will make the break-up time shorter. Of course, you can use also a rubber mallet...

is the h3 neo factory tuned? do you recommend boosting it? or should i just get a regular h3 and boost it? how long before i have to boost it again?

Are you saying that Hurricane series rubbers can be considered "best sellers" |

h2 was tackier, denser sponge, but better is subjective I would think. it could be that the quality control of h2 was better for at least a time, simply because there were times when the demand for h3 (esp odd versions) was so high that they were contracting out their formula and giving their spare molds to other companies to help meet demand. |

really? Wouldn't more people be using H2 then? Either way I will end up buying one to try lol. That along with TG2 and MAYBE TG3. H3Neo really is a fantastic rubber as probably all the Neo's are. and they so cheap. Nice one DHS

H2 is like H3, only better. They do not make any H2 Pro because the serial H2 commercial plays like provincial. |

With H3 you have to play it the way IT wants to be played. Theres kinda only one shot (short range loopdrivy thing) its really special at. But its truly good for that shot, and it is a really useful common shot in games.
When i used H3 I probably ended up winning more in proper games, since serves were far nastier and its good for that magic shot. Even spin variations on pushing were kinda big. But it was less fun somehow. It didnt provide the assistance to do (esp ridiculous out-of-position) shots that the softer bouncier dwellier ESN rubbers do. And I agree the feel was worse. I bought a commercial h3 neo. A good 38deg H3 prov (if it feels better and is a bit more elastic) might be the way to go for me, but its out of stock. Im happy with my current rubber anyway. |

Tried H3 Neo on a BTY TBS and found it played like a brick. Poor ball feedback for both fh and bh. Nice spin when brush looping and serves but very unforgiving with incoming spin. Much better rubber choices await such as Tenergy 05 FX, Aircondle, J.O. Platin series, Thors, Bryce FX. The rubber sheets were heavy like a brick. Name should be called "Bricker".

Sirry Simon,I have to disagree with you here,as the Neo series is a vast upgrade both in terms of power & spin.

I don't think H3 Neo is better than the old version of H3, except for the reduced weight. I am moving away from H3 now, to be replaced with TG2, Thor, etc.

I left a blade with a Red and Black Neo without covers during the off season. The Black was destroyed within 3 months? and had no more tack, it was ruined. The red was unharmed, a year later it's still fine. Go figure?, the red ones last longer for sure

why red? red topsheet is harder and keeps its properties for very long time. Stays tacky like...forever. I used to buy black H3neos, but only the first sheet was able to survive more than 20 hours. Other turned into crappy nontacky insensitive waste. Awfull quality from DHS. Red topsheet looks stable for months. Also, red topsheet pairs with sponge of 38 or 39 degrees much better than black topsheet with softer sponge. Red commercial H3N, when tuned, performs almost the same as red provincial H3N. So this is why red.
I would go for black only if I could change the rubber after 10-15 hours of play.

I'm @ 100hrs or so. It's still usable but it's also difficult to tell what r how much degradation has occurred without a new sheet to compre.

i really don't see why people would want to try the red version of hurricane especially if they want it on the fh. the quality and playing characteristics just aren't the same.

I didn't liked the H3 neo (red) on forehand.
Quite hard and without feedback. I tried it this week and played with it 1 year ago.. I really prefer some 999 spiny series or Thor. Brahms |

Totoro, I am keeping it simple.
Speed: TG3 neo>H3 neo
Spin: TG3 neo = H3 neo
Throw angle: TG3 Neo < H3 Neo
Control and dwell time: TG3 Neo < H3 Neo
Generally, performing loop driving from 3-5 feet away from table, TG3 neo is better and H3 neo is better for close to the table looping.
I think TG3 neo is more suitable for a advanced level player.

Definately FH. Tacky BH doesn't work too well as you'll eat too much spin. Also will be more difficult to generate power since the stroke will be much more compact.

H3 Neo (orange) is a good chinese rubber, but like a little boosted h3. It is quite slow compared to Tenergy. It is not a live rubber like tenergy. It keeps on having that dead feeling. It has good control and it is more linear than BWII which is more powerful and less linear rubber than H3 Neo. H3 users can go to H3 Neo, without any problem.

I've been using my H3Neo 39 for about 3 weeks now. GREAAT RUBBER. It's less bouncy compared to my T05 which is good.
Off topic question: How does TG3 compare against H3? (neos) In terms of throw and speed? Thanks |

Probably I am contriving things, but the old com 39 deg is much softer that the Neo 38 deg Pro.
I must have artificially softened the sponge after tuning it four times in the last six months...

Does the H3Neo have a hard sponge like the hurricane 2 rubber from DHS?

YES!
My Tenergy is freying on the edges... Not bad seeing as it has served me for about a year. Next rubber after it truly starts to die, H3Neo! 39 sponge. =D |
