I got my coupon too, only problem was when I opened the letter the tiny little coupons flew up in the air and one of them (the one for the virtuoso) fell down the crack between the cars handbrake and the centre console and I can't get it out yet... This is a job for later in the day because it'll take some time to get it out. The blade is a little too fast and thick for my tastes anyway so I doubt I'll use that coupon but I might be able to use the free shipping on an immune ox

Sorry for the delayed response. I use a D-SLR with an external speed/bounce flash. Shutter speed of 1/250th of a sec. I hang the handle off the edge of a high table in my Kutchen. The bounce flash blows up the close object and the shutter speed combined with the angle of the flash doesn't allow the floor to be exposed. Hope that makes sense. Taken with a Nikon D3200 an aftermarket bounce flash.

I know a little something about D-slr and external flashes as well. Not I never I had proper training on how to make great use with it. I have a canon d-slr and a canon speedlite external flash where the head can tilt up and down and side to side. When you say you bounce flash, do you mean like you point the flash up to the ceiling instead of directly on the blade handle? From my own experience, that would still make the entire environment bright and visual. Sorry if this is off topic from table tennis but I really wish I know how to achieve that photo shot. Thanks in advance. |

i either bounced the flash off of a nearby wall or the ceiling, but definitely not directly toward the handle
I would go faster than 1/250, but that's the limit before the shutter is closing too late in relation to when the flash fires I shoot everything in complete manual settings. the external flash is a neewer tt560

while you were gone we had a very bad spam problem that imago and alexli solved with an upgrade of the forum software to the latest version. The spam was mainly coming from k.i.tchen sellers from UK and replacing the word helped to break their links.

I was surprised I received V'king promotion letter. so the V'king is similar to the DHS long blade, or stiga maplewood 7...which is thick core 7 ply structure. but the weight controlled very nice...

Yes we had hosting problems thanks for your attention. Well I think it is fixed. V'King is faster, and a bit more springy from perpendicular aspect. Also provides koto feeling. And for sure it is lighter and if you are looking for OFF speed but lighter solution V'King is for you.

Although I don't own any OSP blade (thinking about buying one), through the different posts, I have the feeling that you can differentiate two groups of OSP all wood blades-on one side, Expert, Virtuoso and Virtuoso +,and on the other side, Musko, Ultimate and Martin, which have in common that they are faster and have 7 plies. While I read many things about the first group (specially Expert and Virtuoso) I didn't find many comments about the specific differences between the three last ones. What do you find the special features that distinguish each of those 7 plies blades?
What about the new V'King blade? I read that someone has already said something about it, but I couldn't find the review...I am very interested in this new blade. Finally, what would you think is the similar model in the OSP family of the Ross Leidy's Rapscallion in terms of playing features ? |

Is there any difference between old and new OSP?
4 months ago i get an OSP Virtuoso + and I like it very much(fan of ELCON by OSP very nice handle). When i search OSP then i compared that the new one that there are markings of virtuoso or virtuoso plus expert and so on. But this particular blade it doesnt show any sign of whether it is virtuoso or virtuoso +. It has palatinus logo though in the bottom of the handle. Is it like it used to be like that or is it a fake one? Still getting to learn on how to upload picture(newbie detected) Thanks

The engraving must show Virtuoso+ and there must be a round OSP logo indent on the same side.
