Keep in mind that I am positioned quite low while I record the video, I think that during the game, from the opponent's point of view, Jevtovic's serves are visible (not trying to defend anyone).

It's not that I don't appreciate their play; I do. But I look at the video and wonder what would it be like to play someone at that level. The first question is whether I can even return their serve, and then I see that the serve is hidden anyway. It doesn't matter if they have a 2800 level serve because it's hidden anyway. I think it's perfectly possible to admire someone's feats even while condemning them for breaking the rules. And then there's the more general discussion about why aren't the rules enforced (but this wasn't a tournament video), which I won't get into.

For me, the distinctive half step to the right head dip motion just before returning serve gave his identity away. Almost like dabbing without the forearm to the forehand.

You are right, and I am really sorry I am trolling a little, but no pun intended, didn't mean to insult noone, just thought it would be interesting for you to see Karakasevic in the break between seasons.
and, yeah, based on his footwork it would be really hard to guess that he is over 2800 The other guy is Marko Jevtovic, he is currently No.156 on ITTF list Edited by vajica - 02/23/2017 at 5:36am |

Why is it that I can't find him with the search function?
I know he has a USATT profile here: https://usatt.simplycompete.com/userAccount/up/61209?embedded=&uai=61209&max=20 Edited by alphapong - 02/23/2017 at 12:02am |

i think i know the left handed one? didn't he lose to JOW in the 2004 olympics?
edit: amazing, his footwork seems pretty bad but his arm makes up for it. Edited by Fabian1890 - 02/22/2017 at 6:40pm |

What are their ratings? Hard to tell; the rallies were too short but the foot stomping on serve was pretty decent. I'd say that their rubbers are somewhere between 2100-2200 easy. Nothing in the way of defense or finesse, but here I fear I'm dating myself.

===================== Good catch. Yes he won US Open in both 2006 and 2007. (I watched only in 2006 when it was held in Charlotte, NC.)
