I believe that too straight is no good. Too curl is also no good. Do something in between!

nice pics kan yo (jpn). i hope dalamchops sees them. this is the grip i use for rph, also for wang hao and ma lin and others. and i don't believe the fully curved finger dalams is talking about can be used for rph, it is for the traditional one face chinese cpen.

a fully curled hold may result in some head heavy feeling.

agree that that kind of hold is more suitable for single sided rubber

For looping, I'd place the middle finger toward the lower part of the blade for support.
